The different jobs there was were:
- Actor/Actress
- Backdrop Design
- Costume Design
- Marketing
- Set Design
- Sound Design
If you wanted to be an Actor/Actress, we had additions for that in class as we read the script together as a class. A group of writers were chosen to work on the script and they as a group decided who had whos part. I was an Actress and Backdrop person. The writers chose me to be one of the Chorus. The chorus is a group of people who in between each scene, tell the audience about what just happened in the previous scene in a poetic way. As a backdrop worker, we worked on what was going to be the background of the play. Erin went out to buy HUGE canvases and we painted on them. The back drop had to be one background that would work for all the scenes. Since the play takes place in a bad neighborhood and Isabella loves soccer, we drew out a soccer field with a graffiti wall behind the field. Then behind the graffiti wall, we drew a skyline. After spending hours drawing all the details, we painted the beautiful backdrop.
The play we produced was called The Red Card. It was about a 15 year old girl named Isabella. She is a straight A student and an amazing soccer player. Her father is a police officer so hes barley home and when he is off duty, he watches Isabella play soccer. Isabella has always tried to stay out of trouble and it was going good until she stated dating this guy named Mark. He's all about trouble. He invites Isabella to a party and of course, her overprotective dad said no. To get him back she started to hang out with Mark and his gang. They start to rub their "badness" onto Isabella and leads her down the wrong path. She starts ditching soccer practice and lying to her parents and then, Mark decides to take her to another party which turns into a disaster.
During this project, I learned alot. Some of the main things I learned was to over come my fears and sometimes I have to push myself to get to success, I'm afraid of big crowds and I'm a shy person so for me to get over that fear, I pushed myself to get a part in the play hoping that It would help. It did but not as much as I hoped for it. I put myself out their and tried to come out of my "shy-shell". I pushed myself to make new relationships with my new classmates. During this project I pushed myself alot and because of that, I got a great grade on this project. I also learned a lot about teamwork.

- backdrop- We all had to work as a team to complete the backdrop and put our minds together to create the design. This couldn't have been done if we didn't work as a team.
- Actor/Actress- We needed to help each other remembering our lines and helping eachother out with what kind of things we could do on stage.
