Self Portraits
For this assignment, I needed to do a self portrait of myself five different times trying to use different methods to do so. For the first four, I chose to draw a picture of myself when I was 7 at a wedding. I chose this photo because honesty, at the time of this assignment, I did not have a decent, current picture of myself and i personally liked this old picture of me. . I didn't do my face for those four because I personally can't/like drawing faces.. Also, I feel like it looks fine without without the face because i believe it adds a little character/emotion to the drawings. The only picture where my face is drawn. I only drew my face that one time because my art teacher told me I should at least try to draw my face and try to find a picture of myself where my face is close to the camera so it would be easy to draw. I decided to do a mixture of all the methods that was taught to us in this one picture. I did stippling for the shading of the my body and face, cross hatching for the background, plain lines in the hair and to actually draw my face, my own kind of lines also in the hair, and coloring in some parts of the picture.
Andy Warhol portraits
For this assignment, we were trying to improve our tracing and imagination skills:
On day one, we were given this description of Andy Warhol without knowing we were drawing him. This was the description we were given;
A 40 year old man, wearing sunglasses, hair parted on his left side,
face is resting on two fingers, and he's wearing a scarf.
Based on this description, using our imagination, we were had to attempt to draw Andy Warhol The picture to the left is what mine looked like.
Free Choice Portrait
After the Andy Warhol drawing, we got the chance to draw whoever we wanted in any we wanted. I chose to do the tracing method on the one and only, Harry Styles.
Abstract + Representational Collages
This is one of my favorite assignments because I enjoy doing collages. For the two collages below, we had to do one that was representational and one that was abstract. A representational collage is when there are faces/recognizable objects in the collage. Abstract one is when there's like colors or patterns kind of like meshed together. It's hard to explain but the collages below should help. Along with making one collage of each kind there is, we had to attach an adjective to them and create the collage we are making to describe that adjective. At the end of it all, we had to write a poem to go with the collages.
Representational-
Watercolor Designs
After being taught how to use watercolor, we as in the students were given a chance to try it out for ourselves. Our art teacher also took us on a field trip to a watercolor museum. While visiting there, we got to see different kinds of watercolor art and also took a class with a professional watercolor artist. Below you can see the water color art I created.
Facial Features |
My Wall |
For this assignment, it was just ot test how well we can draw facial features or body parts. Below is what I drew.

In one of my other classes, we are creating a short film where we are going to talk about our walls. My wall is personal but what your "wall" would be is what is holding you back from achieving what you want. For me is being successful. Below the first draft of what my cover wall is going to look like.
